Huangshan Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for its stunning natural beauty and scenic views. Planning your trip to this iconic destination can be made easier with a thorough understanding of its transportation options. Whether you are arriving by high-speed train or bus, this guide will help you navigate your way to the Huangshan Scenic Area. It includes information on how to get to the mountain from major train stations, details on bus schedules, and advice on reaching the different entry gates of the scenic area.

Train Stations Near Huangshan Mountain

Huangshan has two major high-speed train stations: Huangshan North Station (黄山北站) and Huangshan West Station (黄山西站). Both stations provide access to the scenic area, but each is closer to a different entrance. Huangshan West Station (黄山西站) is closer to the North Gate (北门) of Huangshan, while Huangshan North Station (黄山北站) is closer to the South Gate (南门). Depending on your travel plans, either station can serve as a convenient starting point for your journey to the mountain.

Choosing Your Entrance to the Scenic Area

The scenic area is positioned between these two stations, making both options viable for entry. If your itinerary includes visiting the northern side of the mountain, Huangshan West Station (黄山西站) is a better choice. However, if you plan to explore the southern routes, Huangshan North Station (黄山北站) is more convenient. Ensure to choose the station that best fits your travel route.

If you arrive at Huangshan North Station (黄山北站) in the morning, you can head directly to the Huangshan Scenic Area (黄山风景区) by taking a bus from the station.
